Do you ever compare yourself or your rate of weight loss to that of others around you? Please don’t! Don’t get discouraged if you lose .5 lbs to your neighbors 2.5 lbs.
Even if you are following the same weight loss plan, eating the exact same foods, at the same time, you will more than likely have a different weight loss amount. Everyone is different. We will all have factors unique to us that may affect our rate of weight loss. Those might include medications and/or medical conditions, maybe one of you is more diligent with weighing and measuring, maybe one eats more salt; the list of differences is endless but is a factor in how we lose weight. What matters is you are working toward a better you. You are working toward your goal. It doesn’t matter if it takes you longer to get there.
The road to your goal will not be a straight line. There will be ups and downs along the way, there will be plateaus. You will need to work through them to be successful.
You will want to quit.
Remember why you started.
Keep your why close by!
Remember this is a marathon, not a sprint.
Your journey is yours alone, their journey is theirs.
Follow your path.
