Fashion Friday-Travel Outfit/Style Club Challenge 7

A simple shift dress, styled three ways

As you know I went away last week. Before going I was asked if I could  write a post about what I wear for travel. I mentioned last week that my traveling attire was nothing to write about. Or so I thought. For the most part comfort has been my only requirement. We drive mostly to our destinations and dressing up to spend hours in the car is not fun. When I was overweight I certainly didn’t care, and had adopted an attitude of I’d likely never see those same people again; so who cared?

That may not have been the best strategy.

Even after losing the weight, I didn’t really think too much about it. This is what I wore to and from Florida on vacation last year. On our way we stopped in my hometown of Jacksonville. I met up with my sister at the cemetery to “visit” those who are no longer with us.

I’m on the left, for those who don’t already know me. Now keep in mind we were traveling in the car for over twenty hours each way, so comfort was key. And it was August so heat and humidity were a big factor. All in all I guess this wasn’t too bad and definitely can qualify as an “athleisure” look, with emphasis on the “leisure”….

I decided it was time to up my game, and this is what I came up with for this trip.

The one thing I didn’t count on when I found this dress was how easily it would wrinkle. Other than that it was just about perfect! The only thing that could make it better would be those little snaps that some dresses have to hold your bra straps in place and pockets. I have come to like simple dresses with pockets! Why, I don’t know. It isn’t like I really put stuff in them, but I like them. The little bra strap hooks things are fabulous though. I may be able to add them myself.

See how useful those little “strap hooks” would be for this dress

I was actually able to use this for this weeks style club challenge too. I have not been as active in this months challenges as I had hoped to be. It seems the month completely got away from me, and fast! I have figured out a way to make some of it up and will have some new looks for you and the club soon!

I was hoping to be able to get some photos shot while away, but that thought went out the window quickly. I was able to photograph this dress, but that was it. It was a bonus that I could use it for the style challenge!

Our assignment last week was to style one dress three different ways; using a belt (I didn’t), a scarf, and a hat (you know the hat was up my alley)! I didn’t even realize when I photographed this that it would work, for the challenge I was just hoping to have a blog post. But I’m glad it did!

Here was my idea for taking this simple dress from day to an evening out, by adding a scarf, heels, and matching bag for a monochromatic look. Since I was traveling and knew we would be going straight to the beach, pretty much, I did not wear any make up. But this is the real me. More often than not I don’t wear makeup and in triple digits with humidity….well.

I was in such a hurry to get this done, before the littles went into melt down mode that I forgot to take my watch and FitBit off. This little dress came from Target. The scarf is from White House Black Market. I fell in love with it this past fall. The shoes you’ve seen before from Payless and the little bag is from Coach. Most of the jewelry is from Plunder. The earrings are in the new catalog and called Bowie. As large as they look they are very light and you don’t even know you are wearing them. The bracelets on the left, you’ve seen before. They are retired with the exception of the one with the turquoise beads. The bracelets on the right are my Alex and Ani bracelets along with the Plunder Lindy bracelet that has my initial. It was retired too, when the spring line came out. I decided against a necklace since there was such a bib detail already on the dress. I did try a couple and everything seemed to just get lost in the dress.

Here is my “hat look”.

Of course you know as soon as we went outside and I put a hat on the winds kicked in and I was fighting the hat the entire time! I removed my earrings before heading to the boardwalk. These sandals are the ones I wore on the ride down. They are my favorite Vince Camuto brand and came from the Home Shopping Network (HSN). The hat is from Betsy Johnson and came from HSN also, last year. The little cross body bag is by Vera Bradley and is at least eight years old and it has quite a history…..

What do you think of my somewhat “retro” sun shades? I took a lot of “ribbing” for those….and guess what I did? I put them in my little bag to get on a ride with Noah, then put my phone in next to them without thinking. See where it is in the pocket in the picture? I lost a brand new phone (as in three days old new) in Disney in 2009 out of this same purse, from that same pocket, on the Tower of Terror….so of course I knew not to leave it there….when I took my shades out to put them back on, one of the lenses was all scratched up; right in my line of sight…..my phone case has some little “blingy” jewels on it, and I must have put that side next to the lenses of the glasses. I think it’s time to not use this bag for amusement parks.

On the bright side, at least those glasses were inexpensive. I got them from BJs wholesale club. I went back this past weekend and they still had some. I bought a new pair of the same ones along with a different pair. I had not told “The Man” about my little accident until we were at the store and I saw they still had some. I went to pick them up and he said “didn’t you just buy a pair of those a couple of weeks ago”? And the rest of that story went something like this: “Why, Yes, Yes, I did…but what had happened was”…..I felt like Lucy “splainin” to Ricky, lol! Can you believe he was not amused?

What do you think about taking a simple shift dress, and styling it three different ways? Can you think of anything different to do with it?

Two of my precious littles

Remember, since it’s still June, your comments still count towards the Plunder Give Away for the rest of this week and next! So keep them coming! I’m having fun giving y’all gifts!

Plunder has also just released new sign on incentive. I know a couple of you have been on the fence about joining me with Plunder. Well, now is the time!

If you join before the end of June you could earn the $99 fee you pay for your starter kit back AND be eligible for the Plunder cruise in January!!! How awesome is that?

Where else can you start your own business for $99, earn that money back, so essentially you’ve started your business for nothing, and earn a free cruise? The jewelry pictured is what will come in your starter kit. This is your jewelry to wear, display, or sell (if you want). If you change mind about being a Plunder Stylist, at the least you’ve bought 8 gorgeous pieces of Plunder for much less than you would have paid per piece. Email me at Grandma2Glamma@gmail.com for more details or if you are ready to join. You can also just click here then click on “PLUNDER OPPORTUNITY” then “STARTER KIT” and sign up. I hope to see you on the cruise!!!

Today is time to post for June and I have three new Fierce 50 Sisters to introduce you to. I hope you will head over and support their blogs and follow them on instagram!

This month I asked the ladies- What does The Fierce 50 Revolution mean to you? Their answers and a bit of their stories are below.

Annemarie:  “The Fierce 50 to me is about several thing’s. Being proud to say I’m in my 50’s, to market the age group so as we are accommodated by retailers and leisure outlets. More though, it’s about saying “50 is the new 30 and I have a lot to do yet. Don’t dismiss me because I’m not a number.” Annemarie can be found on IG at @mutton_style

Annemarie is a blogger from the UK.  She works full time in an office environment near London. She has adult children, fur babies, plus a partner known as Mr Him. She writes two blogs. One is about family and work life in the UK; Anna of the Mutton Years at http://tvshopaholic.blogspot.co.uk

The other is a girlie blog on clothes and so on called Mutton Style at https://muttonyearsstyleandi.blogspot.co.uk
Wow, Annemarie, two blogs? How do you keep up? Talk about FIERCE! I do good to manage one, lol!

Mindy is certainly a FIERCE, busy lady! And a hat designer! I’m in heaven!!! Check out her photos on IG! There are some fabulous hats!

Sharon: “Not enough hours in the day and so Fierce 50 means to me — just that — nothing stops, nothing changes, don’t let age put a stop to anything. Highlights From May

May was a busy, strange month, lol! The weather couldn’t decided if wanted to be spring or winter. It actually rained here for 22 out of 31 days! We had the FlowerMart and Preakness here. It was Mother’s Day.  I made some hosting changes with the blog (I thought that was going to “do me in”).  Talk about “teaching an old dog new tricks”…..I did my first ever review for Covered Perfectly, it has been published on their blog and I will doing an interview for them soon. The Style Club had the accessory challenge. I didn’t participate in all of them, and inadvertently combined a few, but I did manage to participate. I made it through the first month of training with Jeff twice a week (and he didn’t kill me, yet). I attended a powerlifting meet and met another lady powerlifter in the masters division. I will be telling you more about her soon. And last, but not least, I participated in my first Fierce 50 Follow Friday as part of The Fierce 50 Revolution, on Instagram. It was just busy, busy, busy.

If you missed my review of the Fun and Flirty Fit and Flare for Covered Perfectly you can read all about it here.

If you shop with Covered Perfectly and use the code GG20 you can take 20% off on up to two items. The best deal is always the buy 2 get the 3rd item free.
This was the May schedule for the Style Club; I actively participated in 1, 2, 5, and 7 but I actually had some element of all but 6 in almost all of my looks, so I recycled a few pictures, lol!

This was from our day at the FlowerMart. The focus for this challenge was the necklace. It wasn’t until I was ready to post it I realized I had combined it with the Hat and Purse challenge! The necklace is a Plunder piece that has been retired.

Next was the scarf challenge, and what a challenge it was for me! I can do scarfs in the winter, but spring/summer has me baffled. Even after the challenge. This scarf came from JJill and I was got on clearance earlier in the year.

I decided to use the first challenge pictures and make the bag the focus for the bag challenge, since it was new and I got because of the color and it fitting in with the greenery color of the year. I ordered from HSN.

But for the hat challenge! Yes, the first group encompassed a hat and would have worked just fine, but I went out and got myself a new hat! I spent and insane amount of money for a Preakness Hat (ok not as insane as it could have been, but more than I have ever spent on a hat)! This fabulous hat came from Christine A. Moore. She had a trunk show at our local HatsInTheBelfry store for Preakness and I just had to go….ok I just mentioned it being there “The Man” talked me into going. So that makes it his fault I bought a new hat, right?

This was my sunglasses challenge look. I just had to get these sunnies because they were different from my norm and that makes them fun! And the group insisted sunglasses are meant to be fun!

What do you think of the May challenge? Have you had a chance to check out the 40plusstyleclub? Have you registered for the waiting list? I know we just had a flurry of new members come on board for June. I hope to see you there.

The Fierce 50 Revolution is starting to take off and is gaining momentum. I enjoyed the Friday Follow and learning more about some of my new Fierce Sisters. You can read about them here. Together we are aiming to change the perception of women in mid-age and beyond! If you haven’t already you can go the Facebook page The Fierce 50 Revolution and join us. Let your voice be heard!

I told you yesterday, June is my birthday month and I’m going to be giving you all presents! Aren’t you excited? Every Friday in June I will be giving away a piece of beautiful Plunder Jewelry. All you have to do to is comment on the blog posts be entered in a drawing. I will draw a name from all the comments during the week each Friday night. On my actual birthday (I’m not going to tell you when that is, yet) I am going to give away a June Posse, pictured here. Who wants to guess when it is? Put your guess in the comments.

As you can there are three pieces of jewelry in the June Posse! Everyone who has commented up to that point will be entered in the drawing, even if you have already won.

If you want to sign up to receive the Plunder Posse each month you can do so here. The Plunder Posse is a subscription plan, much like Ipsy, Graze, etc. For $25 each month (which includes tax and shipping) you will receive 1-3 pieces of beautiful plunder jewelry. Your Posse will bill and ship on the same day each month, and you can cancel anytime or stop and start as often as you’d like if there’s a month you just don’t want it. If you have any questions or need help placing your order or have questions about joining the plunder business, email me at: grandma2glamma@gmail.com

Have you signed up for the blog email, yet? If not you can sign up with the subscribe button at the top right side of the page. I will not share your email with anyone else, and  you will just be the first to know when there is a new post. So feel free to pin away!

Don’t forget to leave a comment so that you can be entered in the drawing for this week. Since today is Friday, I will be drawing this weeks winner later tonight. Of course your comments also help more people to see the blog too.

Have a great weekend!

Until the next time

My Preakness Hat

A couple of weeks ago I posted my Kentucky Derby look when we attended the Baltimore FlowerMart. If you missed it, you can read about it here. Well, I decided, I just had to get a new hat for the Preakness Stakes! Since discovering I can wear hats last summer, I am always on the look out for a new one. Well what better reason to buy a hat but for the Preakness Stakes race?

For those unfamiliar with horse racing; the Preakness is the second race in the quest for the triple crown. It is run two weeks after the Kentucky Derby here in Baltimore at Pimlico Racetrack. The next leg is run at Belmont in NY in three weeks.

Now I am in no way a horse racing aficionado. I only pay attention to these three races and mainly because the second one is run here at home. I must admit I like the fashion aspect of it too and have always been fascinated by the hats…..other than that, it’s just another day. Fortunately I had the good sense not to take up horse betting too. The finish was not expected and I would have not won a dime!!

Early last week Hats In The Belfry posted on Facebook that designer/milliner Christine A. Moore would be having a trunk a show at the local FellsPoint store (my regular store) Thursday and Friday with her designs for Preakness. She an official milliner for numerous horse racing venues, and the featured milliner at many races, including the Preakness. You really should go to her website and read all about her, her amazing career, and accomplishments.

After much thinking (ok not too much, I barely mentioned it to “The Man”) we headed down there Friday evening. I spent over an hour looking at all the hats on display, from the ones in the show to the ones that are staples at the store.

These were the contenders.

I looked at this one several times, but I had almost made my decision as to which one I was getting, before I decided to try it. I liked it, a lot, but now that I look at the picture I think it flattens me some. I’m pretty sure I could find just the right outfit and it would have a much different look.

This next one is one that was already at the store and not part of the show. I don’t remember if this was Christine’s design or not. I like the color and the fit and the brim size is one that I am most comfortable with.

The hat below is the first hat that caught my eye and I tried it on, immediately,  when I walked in the store. I was totally convinced it was way to large for me!

It did go well with the top I had on, lol! Christine was fabulous and helped to play around and shape it differently. She may have been glad to see me leave, lol!

What do you think about the two different looks on the same hat?

Playing with the brim and giving it that asymmetry look made a big difference, I think.

So which hat do you think I chose? Out of the ones pictured, which is your favorite? Why? My sons think I look silly in hats. What are your thoughts?

Christine hasn’t left the man in your life out, either. If you go to the website and click on The Blake Collection, you will be able to find a hat suitable for your Mister.

This was the hat I chose and my Preakness day look. I had several ideas for styling it right from the start.

But  of course, it didn’t work like I planned.

This wasn’t my first choice for what I wanted to wear, for the day, but life took over and we had some things we had to take care of; so a day at the race track did not happen. This became the best outfit choice for the way the day turned out and to go out later and enjoy the Preakness from a local establishment. This was an outfit that I knew the hat would look good with, just not what I planned on for this day.

This was the best picture I was able to get. I had hoped for a full length photo, but I really need to stop trying to let “The Man” be a photographer….that’s a story for another day!

The top is the cold shoulder one I showed you a while back during the first style club challenge. It came from White House Black Market. This is my first ever cold shoulder top. I have taken a while to get on the bandwagon with this trend. When I put it on I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to wear it. It felt strange. After a few minutes, I got used to the feel and it was actually very comfortable and I felt confident and it had just the right amount of coverage. The white ankle jeans are from Levi. The purse you’ve seen before, it is called Sawyer from Dooney and Bourke. The jewelry from both days is from Plunder the earrings from the first pictures are in the new catalog and called Kelsie. They have peach colored stones and match back to the Kayson bracelet. They do have a bit of weight to them, but I don’t think they are overly heavy. This bracelet and earrings are now part of the new Plunder Sets and are called the Geranium Set. Just this month Plunder put together matching pieces in sets.  If you’ve been looking at getting pieces that match now you can order a set and save some money! Of course this was after I went on my own shopping spree, lol! The necklace I am wearing is part of the March Posse, and is no longer available. It came with matching earrings. The Plunder Posse is a monthly subscription where you get 1-3 pieces of jewelry each month for $25.00 tax and shipping included. You can cancel and restart as often as you’d like. That works out well if one month you don’t care for the selection.  The bracelet that you can’t see very well is called Paige and is part of the new line.

What do you think of my new hat and Preakness look? Out of the three I showed you, which would you have chosen?

Covered Perfectly Fit and Flare

The 3/4 sleeves are a perfect three season top for my climate

Oh. My. Gosh. I think I am in love! I have shared Covered Perfectly and my Simple Comfort Tops with you before. They are Made in America and Covered Perfectly is a small woman owned company, that is still fairly new. Pauline, the owner, is just fabulous.

I was recently given the opportunity to review a new top and I chose the Fun and Flirty Fit and Flare in Royal Blue you can find it here. I have always thought about ordering this style and I would put in my cart and take it out. So when presented with this opportunity, I chose it. I have no idea why I waited! It is as fabulous as all the others. I did have a hard time deciding how/what to wear it with. There are so many ways I can think of and I can’t wait to style it with all my ideas, but for now I will stick with the first idea I had.

If you remember I have been on the hunt for a pair of crop pants, that look okay on my short self, and I finally found a pair that I like. Can you believe I have bought my second pair of  “distressed” jeans? Don’t tell “The Man”, lol. The Fit and Flare was a perfect complement for them.

We headed out to Sherwood Gardens. I just knew the royal blue would pop against the colors of the flowers. It did not disappoint. I added white wedges for more of a dressy casual feel.  The neckline of this top lends itself to accessorizing with a statement necklace. I decided on a bib of silver floating hearts with matching earrings. I thought it would look great in the setting; adding a little bit of romance…

We then headed out to Ft. Howard, where I decided to change into a pair converse sneakers, for exploring the ruins of an old fort. Of course I had to add some pearls because, you know, I am a blue jeans and pearls kind of girl!

I like both looks, but the sneakers with the crops might be my favorite. The Fit and Flare dressed up the casualness of the distressed jeans. The longer length of the pearl necklace adds a vertical line and visually gives that look of thirds, so that even with the flat shoes/sneakers I don’t look quite as short. Lol, who am I kidding?!?!

I have shown y’all my “lumps and bumps” before. As you can see they are not jumping out at you. That’s just one of the reasons I like the Covered Perfectly Tops so well. They skim your body instead of clinging to those problem areas. The 3/4 length sleeves in many of the styles help to hide those “bat wings” we may develop after a certain age. They are also very comfortable to wear in the summer months and thin enough to layer nicely if needed. This was a beautiful warm, sunny day and I was very comfortable. Knowing I can wear this in the summer and be comfortable while out and about is a great benefit. The 3/4 sleeves are a perfect three season top for my climate.

What do you think about this

Worst Mani/Pedi Ever

Do you have something built up in your mind only to get it and be disappointed? I have been saying I need to get a pedicure so bad it wasn’t funny. Thursday night I finally managed to get myself down to the nail salon for a much over due mani/pedi. I should have waited longer!

This was by far the worst experience ever! I left there knowing my manicure was awful. The person started by cutting my nails (which I asked for and was needed) just straight across, not really filing them and when she sent me to wash my hands I noticed not only were they not filed they were pokey, ragged, and jagged and still just straight, no rounding or anything….well I told here she had to fix them (they were rounded when I got there, what would make her think I would be happy with that mess?). Well when I gave up, they were finally rounded acceptably but one hand is shorter than the other ( I was honestly afraid to try to have them “fixed” any further!

I didn’t realize how bad the pedi was until I got home and went to bed. My toe nails were catching on the bed covers! When I checked them I found bits of nail in the cuticle that hadn’t been attended too! I am glad people can’t really see your feet, because after that I got down close to look and found a couple of toe nails aren’t straight and the polish is not even on my one big toe! It started off by the water being almost cold for the pedicure; that should have been my first clue. What made me think it was going to be ok is beyond me….

I have been going to this salon for a couple of years. I don’t usually go in the winter, because lets face it no one is going to see my feet in cold weather! The technicians were all new, except for two that have been there since it opened and one of those is the manager. I had been given a gift certificate for Christmas or I probably would not have gone to that location. The last time I was there I wasn’t happy with the service, but it was nothing like this!

I am not one to gripe and complain, but this was beyond bad. And I have had just a few mani/pedis in my time to compare to and never have I had an experience like this! If you are local it was Nail Trix in Canton. I would NOT recommend you go there! You can bet the farm I never will again!

Have you looked over the changes on the blog? I am trying to not make any real aesthetic changes for now. I am trying to learn the new system first, but some changes in the way it looks are by default. Other than that; does everything seem to be working for you ok? Are you receiving your emails when there is a new post? If something isn’t right please let me know. I feel better about the changes today than I did Friday, but I am still learning the new way, and as of yet I am not convinced it’s all right. I appreciate your liking, sharing, and comments. That is what helps to get the word out. If you don’t already and would like to follow me on social media you can do so by clicking here for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Bloglovin. If you click on the buttons below you can share right to your pages.

Until the next time

May Style Club Accessories Challenge-2

Do you wear scarves

I was a little late to the party for the week 1 accessory challenge, so here we are already moving on to week two!

This week the theme was scarves. I don’t wear a lot of scarves and find styling them to be a challenge, or intimidating, especially in warmer months. Wearing and styling in winter is much easier, for me. I was totally out of my comfort zone.

“The Man” decided we should go out for breakfast on Sunday. Since the weather decided that it was time to let us know winter hadn’t entirely left, I decided to work on my scarf challenge.

The group decided this looked good, added interest, and that the entire ensemble worked for the setting. I am not overly happy with it. I tried tying and draping the scarf several different ways and this was the best I came up with. I guess it works, for a casual look, but I’m sure it could be better. The jeggings and tunic you’ve seen before. Someone suggested cuffing the jeggings above the booties to show skin….let’s just say that was not an option this day! My legs do look a bit long in this picture, lol.

Do you wear scarves? Do you have any tips?

I have been working on changing the website.  I know things may look a bit different  and may for a while, as I get everything back the way I want it. In all honesty it’s about drive me bonkers….if I wasn’t there already. Somethings are working right, somethings not so much. In time maybe I will get this figured out too. Please be patient. I have been assured it will all come together. Famous last words? If any of you are techie folks and have any tips; I’m open to suggestions!

Please comment and let me know if you are seeing the posts and/or getting the email (if you have previously signed up). Your feed back will help me know how things are working.

I appreciate your support and sharing. Remember you can follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and on Bloglovin. Please give a shout out and let me know what is working and what isn’t.

Until the next time

Spring Style Challenge Week 2-Day 7

I tried to go for a light-hearted and quirky vibe

Onward and upward? It’s time for day seven, only three more to go. For those who may be new subscribers, I have been particpating in a style course with Sylvia from 40plusstyle.com. This has been a two week long spring style challenge and I have been sharing the ideas and my looks and interpretations here on the blog. Like I said yesterday, by this week it was getting harder. I did have fun with this look though.

Here is the inspiration outfit for todays look. It has a more casual vibe that can be dressed up too.

My look of the day! I tried having a bit of fun with this one and added in those adorable pink “chucks” converse . Shhh, don’t tell anyone but I wore this ensemble this past Saturday when I went out and about!! I liked all the shoe options for different reasons and honestly the converse’s were way out of the box for me. The other shoes were not an option to wear out yet. Although, weather wise (it hit 80) they would have been fine. I am in dire need of a pedi to rid myself of “winter feet”. I give my feet a break from a pedicure during the winter months and there is no one who wants or needs to see all that, lol! You saw most of these items in last weeks look. The only real change is the pants. These are the ones I was waiting on and chose instead of the wide leg crops I showed you. I think it is a much better look for me. I used the cardigan again, in place of a long sleeveless vest.

The shirt for this look is the one from the capsule and came from JCPennys. Graphic tees seem to be making a come back. I’ve never been overly big on them, but this one is very tasteful, has a great message, and is the Plunder motto. It is also very versatile and can be used with many looks. That makes it a great capsule piece. The cardigan is the same one from last week and is from JJill. The cargo type khakis are from White House Black Market-WHBM. They are the “skimmer” pants. They are very similar in design to the Ponte Skimmers from day 5, but a bit more casual. I had hoped these would’ve arrive in time to use for day 5, and they did get here that day; late.

What are your thoughts on the picture collages? Are you able to see them okay or is it too small? I’m trying not to make too much clutter, on the blog, but I also know if you are reading this on your phone it may be hard to see. Let me know how you would prefer to see the picures; in the collage or individually.

Here is a close up of the accessories. You have seen most of these already. Remember the bag I got a few weeks back when “The Man” and I were out shopping on the weekend? I used it for this look! Why? Because I tried to go for a light-hearted and quirky vibe! Do you think I was successful?

The sandles and shooties (which were part of other days) are both by Vince Camuto and came from The Home Shopping Network-HSN. The pink converse or “chucks” came from Dicks Sporting Goods, although, I think you might be able to find them at most places that sell converse (if they aren’t sold out, I think they might be quite popular). The fun tote bag was an impulse buy when we ducked into Barnes and Noble Booksellers to escape the rain a few weeks back. I just love the saying on it! The necklace is from Plunder; it was the January Posse selection. If you don’t know about the Plunder Posse; it’s a subscription service you can sign up for. You can join here at www.plunderdesign.com/party/janete1/  It’s $25  per month and you’ll receive 1-3 pieces of jewelry. There’s no obligation to continue and you can cancel anytime. The bangles are Alex and Ani and were all gifts from my son and DIL. The earrings are just a simple gold bar and I believe came from QVC.

What are your thoughts on todays look? Did I manage that light-hearted, quirky, fun look I was going for? What do you think of the pink shoes, are they a keeper? They work well for the purpose intended (weight lifting) and as fun look, but they are not made for comfort or long-term walking. I would not wear them out and about for an all day excursion that would require being on my feet all day.

Let me know your thoughts. I enjoy hearing from you. If you haven’t subscribed to the blog yet you can do so by clicking the follow button at the bottom of your screen. The subscriber list and Facebook page has grown a lot this week. That’s because you have taken time to share my wonderful (haha) ramblings with your friends. I appreciate it and thank you.

Until the next time
