Simple/Guilty Pleasure Thursday 6/22

Hello! It’s time for Simple/Guilty Pleasure Thursday again! This week I have (what I will call) a guilty pleasure. It’s a game! Yes, a game. I play Candy Crush!

Really, I do! I started playing it on a whim a few years ago and was hooked immediately! I don’t play it as frequently as I did in the beginning, but there’s rarely a day that I don’t play for a few minutes.

I also play Words With Friends and right now I have games going with four people! In my mind, it keeps my mind active, lol! I only devote a few minutes of my day to them, but I must admit, I do enjoy just zoning out for a few minutes and playing.

Do you play either of these games? Are you caught up in any of those “Facebook” games? These are the only ones I play, though I get requests daily from “friends” trying to get me caught up in their games. Sorry, guys, I have enough to keep up with!!! It seems some folks do nothing but play games all day. I wish I had that much time on my hands, lol!

What is your simple/guilty pleasure for this week? Take a minute and share with us!

Don’t forget, when you comment on the blog during June (my birthday month) you get a chance to win that weeks Plunder Jewelry.

The winner of the June Plunder Posse is Beth! Beth, contact me via private message or email at and let me know how to get your Plunder to you.

Plunder has just started a new sign on incentive! It will run through the end of June. I know some you of have thought of joining me, but have been on the fence. Now is the time!

If you join before the end of June you could earn the $99 fee you pay for your starter kit back AND be eligible for the Plunder cruise in January!!! How awesome is that?

Where else can you start your own business for $99, earn that money back, so essential you’ve started your business for nothing, and earn a free cruise? The jewelry pictured is what will come in your starter kit. This is your jewelry to wear, display, or sell (if you want). If you change mind about being a Plunder Stylist, at the least you’ve bought 8 gorgeous pieces of Plunder for much less than you would have paid per piece. Private Message me or email me at for more details or if you are ready to join. You can also just click here then click on “PLUNDER OPPORTUNITY” then “STARTER KIT” and sign up.  Simple Pleasure Thursday 6/15

Hello! How are y’all today? It’s time for another Simple Pleasure Thursday!

My simple pleasure this week is enjoying my first cup of coffee in the morning, sitting alone, while the house is still quiet! Waking up, just sitting in the quiet with that first cup. I just sit and meditate, reflect, turn the news on low (not always the best choice) and enjoy the warmth of that cup in my hand.

I drink two cups every morning. Other than that I’m a water drinker. If we go out to breakfast I will get coffee too, but other than the morning, I am not a regular coffee drinker.

Sometimes I take it for granted. I certainly realized how much I enjoy a “good” cup of coffee in the morning, while I was away yesterday. I was quite excited to learn that the hotel offered complimentary coffee all day. That was until yesterday morning when I woke up. I went down and poured a cup of mud….the night person apparently didn’t drink coffee or make it…I went back an hour later (because I just had to) and the same coffee was still sitting there 😳. I had to wait until we went for breakfast to get a cup. And I enjoyed every sip!

I actually have a travel coffee pot that I bought to take when I know I won’t be able to get coffee when I get up (we are early risers) and if I’m traveling for a race I have to time my rising, eating, and such for the race start. I didn’t take it, since it was just an overnight trip….

After breakfast, where I tried to make a healthy choice, we headed to the boardwalk. The view for the morning certainly did help make up for the poor coffee start.

Now this view every morning, while drinking coffee, might just be perfect! What do you think?

What is your simple pleasure for this week? Leave a message and let me know.

I’ll be telling you about my trip soon!

Until the next time

Thursday Guilty/Simple Pleasures

I bet we can all find a Simple Pleasure

Happy first day of June! Can you believe we are almost at the halfway point of the year? Is this crazy or what? It’s almost officially summer, although I don’t think Mother Nature has quite gotten that message, at least not here, lol! Has the weather evened out in your neck of the woods or are still playing the guessing game?

After posting my Guilty/Simple Pleasures blog, a couple of weeks ago, you can read it here if you missed it, I have been thinking that Thursday might be a great day to start sharing our Simple or Guilty Pleasures. I bet we all have some or can find a simple pleasure from the previous week, or just in general, to share.

This is my most recent:

The hand of a grand little in mine.

Isn’t this just the sweetest?
Last week Miss Alessandra came to spend the day. Now you may ask “what’s new about that?” For those who don’t know I am a SAHGMa. I left my job in healthcare almost 6 years ago to stay home with my little Noah, and the babies have just kept coming, lol!

Since Miss Caterina came along in April “Lessa” has been home with mommy. Last week her mommy had some things to do and ask if Lessa could come over for the morning. Well, of course she could.

She was in rare form of course.

She started out extra whiny, lol, then decided she wanted her shoes off, then the socks, then the shirt, and finally her pants….at least she didn’t try for the diaper, lol! The next thing you know, I looked around and she has Miss Quinn’s shoes on; two different ones just as proud as punch with herself! Now at 19 months old you know that didn’t last too long before she was on to the next thing…after a while she decided she needed to put on Miss Quinn’s red shoe…yes, shoe, just one, on the wrong foot…and clomped around for ever with it. Her one red shoe and a diaper; what a picture, lol!

After a bit she wanted to climb up and sit on the couch, next to me, with an iPad. Once she got herself up and comfortable she reached over and put her hand in mine and just sat there. And there we sat, the house a mess, an almost naked baby with one red shoe on the wrong foot, an iPad (that she forgot for a few moments), and Miss Quinn and the cat on the other side. Now Miss Quinn has always had to sit holding hands and she will worm her hand in yours until it just suits her, but, this hand holding is not a “Lessa thing”, it’s a “Quinn thing”, so it was extra sweet. For a while we just there, both of them with their hands in mine. Since it there was no one else home I couldn’t get a picture of that….

This is my Simple Pleasure for this week. What is yours? Be sure to tell me about it in the comments!

June is also my birthday month! To celebrate I will be doing a few giveaways on the blog. Each week, at the end of the day on Friday, I will have a drawing for a piece of Plunder jewelry. I will announce the winner here on the blog, in the next blog post and will notify you by email. To be entered all you need to is comment on the blog, starting with todays. That’s right one person will win the entire set! Remember all you need to do is comment on the blog to be entered in the drawing! Easy Peasy! Right?

Guilty or Simple Pleasures

Do you have a guilty or simple pleasure? I have two. They are both food related, go figure, Lol.

In the fall/winter it is this.

Peppermint stick ice cream.

I have loved this since I was a little girl. One of my fondest memories with my dad was going to the mall and getting an ice cream cone from Baskin Robins. I would always get peppermint stick (I don’t think they have it anymore and I no longer live near that mall). I remember being so excited when I was old enough for a double scoop! Finally, several years ago, various brands started bringing it out around the holidays. Now as soon as I see it in the store, I buy it! I don’t care if it’s on sale or not!! I must have it. I have learned to “stock-up” when it goes on sale so that I can have it as long as possible; until it hits the stores again usually by mid/late October! I did see in one year in September. I really am like a kid in a candy store when I see it.

I have two containers left in the freezer. This is the longest I ever had it into the year. They might almost get me through until it is available in the store again! Once I get towards the last of it, I will literally eat one spoonful at a time only to make it last.

I will share it with the grand littles. They have actually had it before they ever had real food (don’t tell). I have to think long and hard about sharing with anyone else, though, lol!

My other guilty/simple pleasure is fresh cherries!

As soon as I see them in the store and they look good, I must get them, too. They are usually quite pricey early on, but I will splurge if I think they look like they will be good and sweet.

I consider these “guilty” pleasures because I will get them regardless of price (I won’t do that with just anything). The ice cream is a “simple pleasure” because it brings back memories of a special time. The cherries just remind of summer and a new season.

What are some of your guilty/simple pleasures? Do you have more than one? Please do share!

Have you signed up for the blog emails yet? If not there is now a subscribe box at the top right hand side of the post. You can also click follow on the pop up box. If you had previously signed up for the emails, are they coming through ok? I want to make sure everything is working correctly since making the changes.

I have added a new feature also. Now you can hover on a picture that is on the blog and “Pin It (save)” to your pinterest boards. Please feel free to pin away!

Please continue to like share and comment on the posts. It helps so much to get the blog out to others and that is what is helping it to grow and I greatly appreciate that.
